Masters in Social Work

Jade is a Clinical Therapist with over 19 years experience, specialising in counselling and psychotherapy with individuals who have experienced trauma including sexual assault, family violence, complex trauma and refugee trauma. She also works effectively with people experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, grief, substance misuse issues and depressive symptoms. Jade utilises Attachment Theory, Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitising Reprocessing (EMDR), and Ego State Therapy (parts work) to assist her clients to process their trauma and build the mental stamina required to wisely navigate life’s most difficult experiences. She has a passionate interest in interpersonal neurobiology and how this impacts human behaviour and relationships with others. Jade’s counselling practice is instilled with a human rights framework and anti-oppressive values.

 

Jade provides a safe, non-judgemental and compassionate space for people to rise above their difficulties and draw on their strengths and resources.

Jade provides both face to face and telehealth appointments.
